This program will help the BMO team navigate challenging workplace conversations with more confidence and impact – in-person and virtually. Our highly-differentiated approach to skills-building combines live instruction and coaching, application, and one-to-one feedback to deliver an effective and impactful learning experience. Our program allows your leaders and rising managers to identify their own strengths and weaknesses and to develop to their fullest potential.

One of the most challenging aspects of leading and managing successful teams is engaging with colleagues at critical moments. Traditional training provides a framework for communication and managing conflict but often lacks the opportunity to apply lessons learned in a safe, realistic, and impactful way.
Our Delivering Tough Feedback Program will help the members of your team reach their true potential as managers and leaders and maximize the positive impact they have on BMO’s culture. pelotonRPM will help them develop the critical skills, competence, and confidence they need to navigate critical workplace conversations and thrive in their role.
We calibrate our coaching to the specific individual to maximize impact. When it comes to coaching, there is no one-size fits all solution. Each learner comes to the table with different roles, strengths, weaknesses, and potential for growth. We have a well-defined coaching roadmap, but we allow the learner to drive the direction of the experience as well.

HOW WILL IT BENEFIT MY PEOPLE?
The pelotonRPM Delivering Tough Feedback program will help your team members in a number of important ways.
- Be comfortable and effective communicators, in-person and virtually
- Practice navigating sensitive conversations in a safe and realistic way
- Understand how to deliver a tough message without triggering tension and conflict
- Understand the psychological motivations and perspectives of their direct reports
- Learn to engage more effectively with challenging personalities
We will share a survey with the learner’s manager to identify strengths and areas for improvement that we can focus on. The learner will also complete a self-evaluation form in advance of our first session.
The first 1-to-1 coaching session is intended to introduce the learner to the program, allow them to ask questions, and review the objectives and details of the simulations.
During the live, video-based simulation, the learner will navigate a scenario in which they are required to gather information regarding an employees job performance and then deliver constructive feedback. This is a private, 1-to-1 session.
Once the learner has completed their first simulation, their coach will review their video and provide written feedback. The coach will be available to address any questions the learner may have via email.
The second simulation will present the same scenario as the first, allowing the learner to repeat the exercise and incorporate the feedback they have received in their 1-to-1 coaching. This is also a private, 1-to-1 session.
The second live 1-to-1 coaching session will focus on discussing feedback from the second simulation, helping the learner understand what they did well and target areas of improvement.
