Helping Rising CRE Sales Professionals Develop the Critical Skills They Need
It’s both a challenging and an exciting time to be launching a career in commercial real estate. The way that younger CRE professionals engage with the market, communicate their value proposition, and share their subject matter expertise with prospects and clients is changing in a fundamental and permanent way.
Despite the pace of change, there are certain fundamental skills that remain constant. Rising CRE professionals need to be able to communicate their personal value proposition, with confidence and conviction, in a way that resonates with their prospects and clients. In today’s competitive marketplace, it is more important than ever that they know their elevator pitch and that they practice and refine it regularly. They also need to be well-versed in the conditions of their local market and be able to distill critical data points into a compelling narrative.
As part of the Colliers 2020 Acceleration Program, pelotonRPM will help the Colliers 0-5’s develop the critical skills they need to build momentum in the most formative years of their careers. The foundational work done today will help them grow into highly-skilled CRE professionals who can connect with prospects and clients, win and close more business, and become impactful individual producers, team leaders, and executives in the years ahead.

HERE'S HOW THE PROGRAM IS STRUCTURED
This pelotonRPM learning program has five key components.
The live, virtual 90-minute kick-off class combines instruction with active conversation between the Learners. We typically limit each class to 20 learners to allow for maximum engagement. Topics covered include defining our value proposition, making small talk work, digging in on soft skills, and discussing local market conditions.
We make our growing library of online learning materials available to every pelotonRPM Learner. The learning materials cover a full range of topics relating to having effective conversations with prospects and clients. Our learning modules also include content relating to soft skills development and presentation skills best-practices.
Each Learner will have a 30-minute live, simulated, video-based client conversation that will allow them to practice what has been taught during the program. The scenario will be designed to look, sound, and feel just like a real Colliers client conversation. The simulation will require the Learner to communicate their value proposition and discuss local market conditions in an insightful and compelling way.
Once their simulated client conversation is over, we will analyze the video and compile personalized feedback. Each learner will have a 30-minute video feedback call to discuss what they did well, areas in which they can improve, and strategies and tactics they can consider to improve their overall effectiveness. They will also receive a completion certificate at the end of the program.
